What is a Community Engagement Partner?
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a multicultural gathering place for our community. The Center partners with organizations on select live performing arts experiences in the Boldt Arts Alive! Series to create experiences that deepen people’s connection and understanding as a way to bring this mission to life. These local organizations are known as Community Engagement Partners.
Patrons of Boldt Arts Alive! performances are invited to develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the arts and the topics explored through the performance. Often, this is achieved through educational activities and workshops hosted by Community Engagement Partners that work in tandem with the themes of the paired show. The nature of these activities may range from pre-show conversations to participatory workshops and everything in between. These events are typically free and family-friendly, engaging individuals of various ages, abilities, backgrounds and interests.
While the topics and themes may range each year, this season’s conversations will revolve around the meaning of community. By working together, these pairings demonstrate empowerment for one another, as well as the support and the sharing of each other’s missions and organizational information. Together, we are able to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the arts and people within our communities.
