Spotlight: Oshkosh Corporation Partnership
In the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center’s 20th Anniversary Season, we are celebrating and highlighting community, community who have welcomed live performing arts experiences to Northeastern Wisconsin and beyond. With the Broadway production of SIX as part of the 2022-23 Season Broadway lineup, we’d like to take a moment to thank the Center’s Community Partner, Oshkosh Corporation, for helping make this production possible. Jodie Larsen, Vice President of Community Engagement for Oshkosh Corporation, shared the history of Oshkosh Corporation and what the partnership with the Center means.
“At Oshkosh Corporation, we build some of the industry’s toughest specialty trucks and access equipment. And while machines are our business, our business is so much more than machines. It’s about building, protecting and serving communities across the world. With over 14,000 team members working in 24 countries and across 130 worldwide locations, our team members design, manufacture, and service equipment built to serve the world. We are united by a common purpose: to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s our why, and we take it seriously. Whether it’s how we treat each other, our work in the community, keeping workers safe, protecting those who protect us, or keeping our communities clean, everything we do is designed to make somebody’s life better.”
Reflecting on the partnership with the Center, Jodie shared, “at Oshkosh Corporation we believe in putting people first. That means more than just caring for our customers. It means taking care of communities. Empowering users. Supporting team members. It means building a company—and a world—that prioritizes people, because when we do, we deliver on all our goals.”
Oshkosh Corporation knows that for many, the favorite part of attending a show is the excitement and energy shared with others. “I love experiencing the energy and excitement in the room. You always walk away having felt something powerful,” said Jodie.
To Jodie, the Center is truly a multicultural gathering place for the community and she knows that’s important to Oshkosh Corporation as well. “Our support of the Performing Arts Center has allowed different departments and teams to attend an event together which fosters team building and collaboration,” she stated.
When asked why it is important to support the arts in our communities, Jodie said, “through supporting the Performing Arts Center, you are supporting educational opportunities and experiences for the community.”
