The Fox Cities P.A.C. named “Best Northeast Music Venue”
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is proud to announce that during its 20th Anniversary Season, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, a local nonprofit organization, has been recognized as the “Best Northeast Music Venue” by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry at the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards held in Milwaukee earlier this month.
This awards ceremony marked 41 years of the WAMI Awards recognizing statewide musical talent and music-related institutions for their contributions to the industry. Local artists and their work, venues, music fans and educators were celebrated including the late Milwaukee-area musician, Keith Pulvermacher and Green Bay artist, Amelia Ford, who won “Album of the Year” for “Wide Wide Open.”
“We are honored to be recognized by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry for the Northeast Music Venue category,” said Fox Cities Performing Arts Center President and CEO Maria Van Laanen. “Thank you to the community throughout Northeast Wisconsin who has reaffirmed their commitment to their Fox Cities P.A.C. by voting the Center for this award. ” Van Laanen added, “The Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards does an exceptional job of highlighting and celebrating the talent and passion in the industry throughout the state. We are pleased to share in this moment with the winners of the other categories and wish to express our congratulations to all.”
