MOMIX- ALICE

Key Themes: imagination, movement, storytelling

Travel down the rabbit hole with MOMIX and experience illusionary, acrobatics, magic and whimsy in Moses Pendleton’s newest creation, ALICE, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice in Wonderland.” Expanding on youthful imagination, this performance explores a reimagining of the familiar world and its time-honored characters that will captivate your students. Using unconventional and interpretive methods to modernize the classic story including props, ropes and other dancers, ALICE offers an extraordinary storytelling treat inspiring conversations that extend beyond the performance, easily connecting to lessons in the classroom. Share in the wonderment of the fantastical in this one-of-a-kind, mind-bending performance with your students.

Know Before You Go

Arrival and Departure Information

  • The Center’s address is 400 W. College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911. Click here for driving directions.
  • Doors to the theater open 30 minutes prior to the performance. Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before the performance, to ensure ample time to be seated. Upon arrival at the theater, buses should follow the directions of the staff outside to assist them in finding a parking location. Cars and other vehicles may find parking in the Green ramp for a nominal fee or find available parking in metered spaces along the street. After parking, unload your students and make your way into the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
  • Check in with Center staff upon arrival. Please enter the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center at the valet doors on Division Street or the ticket office entrance (corner of College Avenue and Division Street). A volunteer will greet your group upon your arrival and a staff member will check you in. You will be given your seating location at that time and volunteers will guide you to your assigned seats. No printed tickets are used for Amcor Education Series performances.
  • Bus drivers receive discounts at ACOCA Coffee and Copper Rock Coffee when they mention they are with a school group at the Center. Bus drivers are not able to gain admission to the Center unless they are included in the school’s reservation.
  • After the performance, Fox Cities Performing Arts Center personnel will dismiss all groups from the theater. Please remain seated in the theater until dismissed, and check around your seats for personal items before leaving. Once dismissed, return in an orderly fashion to your bus or vehicle for a safe trip back to school.

Student Accessibility Needs

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center strives to make the arts available to everyone. We offer many services for patrons with special needs, including wheelchair accessible seating, assisted listening devices and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.

  • To best serve the needs of you and your students, indicate if you have individuals who require special services or seating needs when making your reservation.
  • Upon request, appropriate performances can be ASL interpreted. This service must be requested a minimum of four weeks prior to the performance.
  • Additional complimentary chaperone seats may also be available for students who need individual supervision.

Student and Educator Health and Safety

  • All bags, including student backpacks, entering the building are subject to search and prohibited items will not be allowed. If students bring backpacks they will need to be checked at the registration table in the main lobby upon entry.
  • Teachers and chaperones are discouraged from bringing bags, however, necessary backpacks, or bags may be searched and tagged before being allowed in the theater.
  • Prohibited items will not be allowed in the building under any circumstance. Medically necessary devices, prescriptions and other related items will be allowed but are subject to search.
  • Gum, beverages (including water bottles) and food are not allowed in the theater for Amcor Education Series performances.

To make the experience an enjoyable one for all, please review theater etiquette practices with your students and chaperones before attending an Amcor Education Series performance.

Expand on your educational experiences by making a day of it! With partnerships with the Atlas Science Center and the History Museum at the Castle, you can continue the lessons all day long!

Masks are welcomed, but not required to be worn by all patrons while in the venue. Other COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of performance, including, without limitation, required: temperature checks, testing, confirmation of prior travel to restricted areas and/or confirmation of no known symptoms of and exposure to COVID-19. We reserve the right to unilaterally make changes to health protocols according to updated public health guidance and applicable law. Future updates will be provided to ticket holders prior to the performance. Any ticket holder who does not comply with any COVID-19 related health protocol may be required to leave the theater, and his/her ticket will not be refunded. Guests with accessibility questions, or who require additional assistance related to the venue’s COVID-19 policies may email info@foxcitiespac.com or call (920) 730-3760. Please note: This event is being planned at full capacity, subject to applicable law and governmental approval.

This is the official page for this event at the Fox Cities P.A.C. Tickets are a revocable license and admission may be refused upon entry. Tickets obtained from unauthorized parties may be invalid or counterfeit and if so are void. The Center’s standard photo policy prohibits the use of cameras or recording devices in the theater. Photo policies may vary at request of the artist. Performances go on as scheduled, regardless of weather. No refunds. In the unlikely event that the Center cancels a performance, ticketholders will be notified. Dates, times, prices, fees, artists subject to change. Ticket holder grants permission to use holder’s image or likeness in connection with any broadcast or recording of event.
